So they call this a Silverton pack - but would it hold a shovel & probe?

Its not specifically mentioned however no reason to believe you couldn't hold the handle to the shovel in the ice axe loop and place the blade inside along w your other goodies..slide the probe down the side and you should be good to go hit the trail.
