Hmm interesting phrasing for that question. It depends on two things, your intended use and the base weight of your kit. If you are climbing (Full Rack, Rope, Axes, etc) plus several days out I would say this may be on the small side if your kit is not truly Alpine Light. Assuming you and your guide/partner share the load of a complete kit it will work for short trips. But you may want something in the range of 50-60 L range. If you are just hiking/ non-technical mountaineering this pack would be fine for several days assuming you have a low base weight (10-15lbs). An old sleeping bag or tent will take up all the space in this leaving little room for anything else. Winter camping gear will not fit, 3 season gear of the Ultra-Light variety is the way to go… But as a “teen” you may want to go with a 50L + pack. If Arc’teryx is your thing maybe the Khazri 55 is what you want. If you want to save yourself/parents some loot take a look at the Granite Gear Alpine Vapor.
