I have a 2010 subaru outback and I need to carry my frenzy. I have tied various types of j racks but I can't seem to get it to fit. I am a 5'2" woman and I am looking for an easy way to get it up there and have it sturdy since I go everywhere.

Rook, Does your Subaru have factory rails? Have you tried any Yakima products? According to www.yakima.com they recommend the Railgrab towers with 48" crossbars. I have the Railgrab setup on my Grand Cherokee and it is SOLID. Along with the Yakima Bowdown carrier, my kayak is going nowhere. Also, the Bowdown carriers have a sort of ramp built into them that makes getting the kayak into place a breeze. Rather than getting up and over a "J" shape, you just have to get the boat to the nose of the ramp and push. There are of course other setups available (like that crazy contraption, the Thule Hullavator!), but I'm fond of this one. I hope this helps!
