I have 2008 (?) K2 Apache Recon skis and the heels keep getting damaged just by resting them on the ground. Epoxy to reattach the top layer of the ski does not work. The later versions have rubber heels that seems to have solved the problem but I would like to repair the ones I have, not buy new skis. Does anyone know of a good fix for the heels of these skis.

This happens a lot with some k2 skis. Luckily, that part of the ski doesnt really do much. You just dont want anything hanging off and catching on to anything and you also don't want moisture getting in. Did you make sure it was completely dry when you epoxied it? Also, cover with duct tape and clamp it down at least over night or a few days.
