The dimensions for the Lg are 14.1 x 12.2 x 1.6in so I doubt you'd be able to get that 17'' in there.

The laptop is 17" wide or the diagonal screen measurement is? Either way, I don't think it will matter, they only have the medium in stock which is 14" wide. The large might have fit your computer at 16" wide, if you are referring to the screen size. Sorry! Hope this helps.
