Is this pack good for a 5 Day trip through India? I need something small, portable and rugged that can carry only a few days clothes and basics without having to need luggage or a huge pack. I need to travel as light as possible.

Hi Michael - this wouldn't be my first choice for the type of trip that you describe. The Mantel is a pretty specific lightweight climbing pack. Here are a couple of suggestions for you that I think will have better organization, and also be more rugged for travel: -North Face Overhaul 40 (one the best travel packs, and also good if you are going to carry a laptop) -North Face Heckler Backpack (34 liter daypack) -North Face Terra 40 (good if you like top-loading style packs - also the largest of the bunch at 40 liters) All three of these are bigger than the Mantel, which at 26 liters sounds really small for a 5 day trip. Hope this helps
