Do you have to do anything to make sure the atlimeter is working correctly? I live in Atlanta, GA where the avarage alt is approx. 1050 ft. My new watch is showing 2464?
Just wondering.

Hi Hank. Your Axio Max needs to be calibrated. Calibration instructions can be found on pages 18-19 of your Manual. The elevation at the airport in Atlanta is about 1,000'. I'd say this is a good plave to start. Then, once you are in a place where you know the exact elevation you can re-calibrate.

Hi Hank - I actually just adjusted my altitude on my Axio Max last night - it took about 2 minutes. Just check out your users manual or use goggle to pull up the PDF of the users manual and you'll be dialed in no time.

You should be able to manually set the altitude... Then most altimeter watches have way -points so you can set an altitude for a known point you frequent a lot to keep your watch in proper calibration... Any altimeter that relies on barometric pressure and moves a lot will need to be re-calibrated because of pockets of micro-climates where pressure changes but altitude doesn't.... The only kind of altimeter that will always be accurate and not need re-calibration is a GPS enabled altimeter....
