I just got the NF Heathen jacket today. The material feels super thin (no thicker than my trash bag). Would this jacket capable of handling Michigan winter like my old NF 3 layer Gore-Tex jacket (Gore-TexPTFE/RN# 61661/CA# 30516)?

Thanks for your reply.

Hi - I was not able to figure out what type of TNF coat you previously had based on the serial number that you gave, but the Heathen is a pretty specific lightweight climbing/mountaineering jacket, and might not be the best choice for general use. Here are a few options that might serve you better for long term general use: -North Face Mountain Light -North Face Free Thinker Jacket -North Face Sonic Stretch Jacket (insulated) -North Face Modulation Jacket Any of these would be good choices and have heavier face fabrics that would serve you better for everyday use- Hope this helps
