What does thermacore mean? I live near the Rockies so I don't want to buy something that will not keep me warm.

Dawg.... Thermacore is Burton's synthetic insulation material.Its not as puffy as most down jackets and it still works when its wet! This jacket should keep you nice 'n toasty, especially when you start to pack on the layers.. i mean layerzzzzzzzz
