Recently I've had problems with both groin and hamstring strains. Do these shorts help prevent strains and pulls?

In a very late reply I want to mention that lots of stretching is correct, but most people with these issues forget the fluid. Next to having a healthy “sports diet” drinking a lot of extra water on a daily base to let your body flush out “the bad stuff” dramatically reduced these type of issues for me. A lot for me = 1 gallon a day, but I’m in FL as well.

Ron, This is a late reply, but not much clothing will actually protect you from those types of injuries. These will provide a measure of compression that will help ease the recovery of muscles though. As a long-time and frequent soccer player, the only thing I am aware of the avoid injury like that is conditioning, stretching (lots of stretching), and R.I.C.E. when injured.
