For an aggressive women who ski's at a semi-expert level, is this a good ski? I am 6 feet, strong and 140lbs. I ski mainly east coast focusing on trees, back country and sleep blacks. I was looking at the 172's. Should the fact that a lot of beginners are talking about this ski vs. the Prophet 90 concern me? Is this a good ski for me?

Hi Suzy, I ski on Line Blends (100 under foot), among others. Great ski. If you are semi-expert, check out some other sick skis--DPS Wailer 105 (Carbon), Moment Skis, PM Gear, or Blue House (I like the Maestro)(check the websites of these makes). There are some great skis out there... If you like the trees and backcountry, concentrate on a skis a bit wider than 90--and for the hell of it...support the small indies; they're making some amazing skis.
