Is this fit standard or a little more relaxed? I am wearing a med in most TNF but I would want this more trim since I wouldn't be layering except maybe thin shirt. Would a sm work out better? I am 5'10" 145lbs around 36" chest. Thanks.

This is more on the slim side by design. It was meant to be worn under a technical shell for alpine conditions, and it really does insulate, breathe and stretch well. I would go with a medium given your height. I am 5'5" 120lbs with a 35-36ish chest and the small fits me just about right with very little go below the waistline. With your extra 5 inches I am pretty sure the small would leave your belly bare and cold!
