Which Arc'teryx is comparable to the MHW Tech fleece???? I just sold my MHW Tech because it was a pet hair magnet and the sleeves were a bit short for me. But I really loved almost everything about that jacket! (sure the collar is a bit to big to really zip up all the way unless you have a giraffe neck) Anyway which Arc'teryx softshell is similar in terms of warmth/windstopper etc.?? I had a medium in the MHW that the torso was perfect but the arms were a good inch or so to short, so I'm curious how the Arc' jackets compare in sizing also (I'm 6 foot 185 lb.) THANKS!!

Andrew, Polartec powershield still lets some wind through. But they make better mid layers due to higher breathability. I have tried the Arcteryx Easyrider, Hercules, and Venta AR. I've also purchased the MHW Tech for a friend, which to me was very similar to TNF Windwall 1. I'd highly recommend the Venta AR as an awesome upgrade to your old tech. Arctetyx will run slimmer but cut longer than the "pouchy" Tech.

Brandon what about the Gamma AR? I know it's not windstopper but it's dang close to it with the Polartec Power Shield fabric (98% according to polartec), just curious which is better and durable for general hiking, backpacking, Jeep adventures, etc? These jackets are way to similar to choose between! dang you Arc'teryx

In terms of warmth, the Arc'teryx Venta AR is closer to your old one. The Venta LT is quite light and designed for "fast forward" sports. You would fit best in a Venta AR Large-sleeves will be long enough, but the torso won't fit like a box. Also, much more pet hair resistant; as well as weather-resistant and durable.
