Stoic Welder Insulated Softshell Jacket - Men's
I'm 5'9" about 170lbs, any suggestions on size?...

I'm 5'9" about 170lbs, any suggestions on size? I typically between a M and a L. This would be an everyday jacket, to be worn under sweatshirts and normal clothes. Not just for performance.

I woud go with an XL. I am just about your size and usually wear an XL in other outerwear. This XL fits more like a large. If you are planning on wearing it over sweatshirts go with the XL. The sizing chart for this jacket is not the best thing to go off.

your height and weight would suggest a medium for athletic fit, with room for a little under (you will not need much under to be warm) a large if you want a baggier more roomy fit, but arms will fell long. but to be sure, check the Sizing chart, for chest and waist measures. these softshell jackets are true to size, and measuring chart will describe an athletic fitted jacket.
