Is there a right and left shoe?
When I pull straps to tighten how do the metal prongs fit into the holes in the strap, Hard to describe but they do not fit naturally in holes well?

RP, Technically there isn't a left and right shoe, but MSR recommends wearing the shoes with the buckles on the inside of the foot. I'm not quite sure how to answer your question about the straps and the prongs. I just pull to the tightness I want and then find the nearest hole to the prong and it pops in. I will say that it's more just the tip of the prong that's in the hole, not the whole length, but I've never had a problem with the straps loosening while I was wearing the shoe. Hope that helps! Andrea
