Ranked #411 - Alpine Park and Pipe Skis

I went ski shopping back at the end of November and was recommended the Salomon Threats. They were actually 08-09 models were on sale and I went for them. After a day and a half of hard downhill and several jumps the edges on both skis had ripped out. I got my 09-10 replacements 3 weeks later. After a day of riding both left edges, front tip right at the start of the upward curve, the edges delamed again and theres a gap. They havent pulled apart completely but Im thinking I was ill advised in the first place. WHAT SKI DO I WANT??? Im 54 155 lbs, short but stocky so I can throw around 160s. I was raised downhill racing but Ive always loved the jumps and Im just starting to learn the 360s etc. I guess I would ski about 50/50 park and all mountain. I like the look of the suspects but dont want another bust. Also I have Marker M11.0 TC freeride bindings

Try the Suspects, mount centered for park riding. They seem to be solid.

The Salomon Suspect will be a solid upgrade over your Threat skis. The full length sidewall holds up WAY better than the monocoque construction of your beat-up Threats. Check your local mountain and see if they have any demos. You'll dig 'em.
