14 points for all-purpose? I was thinking that all purpose typically had 10, and 14 was for really technical stuff like vertical ice. Has anyone used these for general mountaneering, and were you happy with the performance? I'm looking for an all-purpose that I can climb easy ice routes, but will use mostly for slope climbing. Thanks for any beta!

The number of points is not really indicative of much. I think the MOST technical crampons are the bolt on ones and they have around 8 points. I use these for general mountaineering, and they're fine, but a little overkill. You'll probably be better off with something like the Contact Strap unless you're doing a lot of front pointing on vertical stuff.
