this jacket's nice and stretchy, never stiff except for the one time I was wearing it w/o good base layers and it got sweaty - forgot to pull it in my bag at night and it froze harder than hard cardboard - after forcing it on and climbing a bit it softened back up again. so yeah, it stretches - not stiff.
