I am looking for a pack to carry my military kevlar helmet, complete kevlar vest with armor plates and a gas mask. Traveling in and out of country for contractors is not easy and we need a pack that we can put that gear in with about 3 days of clothes, shave kit, laptops and other small electronic items, paperwork pilot flight suits, pilot headset in its case.
Traveling we have to wear the kevlar on military flights but then need a place to stow it and run around on base getting on off buses, walking around and then lastly checking it onto the airlines in Kuwait. It sucks bag dragging all your gear around in separate gear. So goal is to wear the kevlar and helmet when necessary then stow it put it all on your back and walk around when necessary. Then live out of the pack for a few days at a time in a tent until you are on a flight back stateside or settled into your quarters in country. So my question, is this too big, not big enough or just right. Thank you

Seriously, as a 20 military vet I would recommend Eberlestock tactical packs. They do make a Backpack that is more traditional towards the civilian backpacker wanting a military grade pack. I'm with Lyric on rarely steering away from this AWESOME website, still...if ya need a tuff military grade large pack go with the Eberlestock. I'm getting the SkyCrane II. But, I need something a normal Backpack can't do. Also, I dearly cherish all of the great advice given by both customers and experts from this site. Y'all don't know how much time, effort and money I have saved on anything and everything outdoors. Thanks so much for that:) Keep dry and safe! I will say I try to buy from BackCountry whenever possible. Especially, when they have free shipping. I bought my SnowPeak titanium cookset here.

Denali Pro will without a doubt serve your needs. Unreal capacity, comfort and load. Durability is second to none! Echo above...Petzl...u r so sad, and that's a very immature comment for a gear site.

Wow "Petzl Head Office", that is no way to treat anyone. Especially not on a gear website. George, this is the second largest bag here on Backcountry.com, the largest being the Osprey Packs Argon 110 being slightly larger, and has a few more pockets and whatnot. I rarely send people away from Backcountry.com, but since you are looking for such a specific application, you should look at Mystery Ranch Packs. These are the go to packs for the military. Here is a link to their largest packs. If you have the money to spend these are phenomenal packs and will likely be your best option. They are made right here in Bozeman, Montana. http://www.mysteryranch.com/s.nl/sc.7/category.54/.f
