I have a suunto T1 HRM, the belt stopped working. I also have a Polar t31 belt, will the T1 pick up heart rate from the T31?

I had the same problem with my Suunto Belt, changed to battery several times but I have been using my watch with the T31 belt for several years and it works great.

Yes, I replaced the battery per Suunto's instructions and the result is the same, it still says "check belt". I used this belt with no problems for 5 months and then all of a sudden it stopped working.
