I'm trying to weigh the difference between this model of pole with, and without, the antishock system.
It will save me 20 bucks, but is it worth it?
I've read it works against you on uphill, and I am really fit and don't feel the need for shock absorbers.

I usually don't use the shocks and don't think it is really necessary. They say it prevents some vibration and makes it nicer and soft and cushiony on your wrists.

I normal carbon fiber ones and I don't ever wish I had the "anti-shock" feature. The Leki Carbon poles. The carbon is very damping anyways. I use a carbon seat post on my hard tail mountain bike to reduce vibration and shock. Carbon works in the same way on the poles to absorb some shock.
