How does the weight/durability of the fabric compare to that of the Patagonia Houdini? Also does it pack into it's own pocket into a tiny package?

The houdini may have the edge by a small margin but both are ripstop and the stretch in this garment may very well be the only difference besides the lack of hood. The houdini has box stitched ripstop which adds to durability and prevents holes from ripping further which the stretch ripstop does not have. Neither is going to survive a back slide down scree or hauling bags of oysters over your shoulder...
