Hello again, Angus.
I was by no means being sarcastic. I am not a regular on-line questioner or blogger, but small courtesies leave a large impression in a modern world of pluralized manners. So your response was very much appreciated. I noticed that someone thought otherwise, both about my original question and about your original response, having given a thumbs down to both of them. Wonder why.
Anyway, I plan simply to contact the store by phone and see what might come of an appeal on behalf of a 6 year-old certificate claim. I hope for the best, but expect otherwise.
Cheers to you,
Victor

Assuming you have not resolved this situation. You may try mailing the gift certificate directly to Backcountry with a note explaining the situation. Should they verify the certificate as legitimate, and that it indeed does not expire. It is highly likely that they issue you a new electronic gift certificate to use.

And cheers to you too, sir. The thumbs down is someone who thinks it's fun to mark everything I'm associated with as negative. I don't worry about it anymore.
