I'm looking for a jacket that will keep me warm in the city in the winter ... is this a warm jacket that can stand up to a chill or just a style piece?

If you are commuting in the city and have a few layers under the chizzler, you will be fine (such as T-shirt, dress shirt, and a blazer you are good to go). If your outside for over an hour in extreme windy and cold condition I suggest you add a thermal layer or sweatshirt. This jacket is nice because once your inside, you can still wear the jacket without roasting. Sometimes I get back to my apartment and wear the chizzler inside and forget I'm even wearing it.

yeah this jacket will keep you worm but keep in mind its only wind resistant so in wind chill conditions it might not be the best chose
