Will this pot be okay for open fire boiling? I'd like to build a fire and place a pot above/on the flame to boil my water.. will this work for what open fire?

I would agree with Jeff that you could use this on an open fire, but there are better options as far as pots go that would be more practical for open flame cooking.

This pot is designed to be used with a stove & since there are no plastic parts involved, it will work over an open fire. I would however suggest an inexpensive, aluminum pot instead. Not as sophisticated, more practical, the same weight, & less $.
