Could a beginning skier be able to ride this ski, and then really improve?
I'm trying to find my friend a ski that he can use for 4+ years, and by then he will be a good, advanced skier by then.

Horse sh*t, I've been skiing for 3 weeks (on these skis) and I've taken them down chutes at mammoth mountain. Dropouts, wipeouts, paranoids, these skis eat it all up. These skis are fine for a beginner if they are willing to try.

No. This ski is too stiff for a beginner.
