No, they are not super warm. I have used them down to - 31* and already at 5* they felt cold when i did not wear an additional pair of liner gloves. They are ok as long as I am on the on the move and use my hands but they are no good alone when I stop for a break. The tightening around the wrists are too wide allowing warm air to escape and it sems to me as the primaloft filling stops just above the wrist leaving a cold spot between the mitt and the jacket. Bottom line: buy a pair of liner gloves too. (ps: runs a bit small - just a bit) I recommend the Norrøna Gore tex shell mitt and their wool liner - Great together and with a shell mitt you can use the principle of layering on your hands as well. This solution also speeds up drying as drying the Narvik mitt is almost hopeless inside a tent in the wintertime.
