Is the outer fabric WATERPROOF? I am heading on a Kathmandu to Annapurna base camp trek in October and want the down to stay dry for three weeks...is this the bag for me?

Yes, the shell is waterproof thanks to the Conduit SL material. This Exped bag is also very, very waterproof:http://www.backcountry.com/store/ODR0238/Exped-Arctic-Goose-WB-1100-Sleeping-Bag-15-Degree-Down.htmlKeep in mind that waterproofing is a loaded question. You sweat in your sleep (we all do), and even if the outer shell is waterproof, you can still potentially get the down wet. This shell is water resistant under normal condensation conditions.
