essentially there is an adapter bar that stretches arcoss from the handle bars to seat therefore giving it that flat bar that guys' bikes have. Then the bike can be loaded. Roughly $50. I just got this hitch yesterday and plan on hanging the bike a little differently. Just higher up to where the bars all connect a little closer...Great hitch though for it's adjustable arm so that you can open the hatch without having to take it off

The hauler slides into place in a trailer hitch mount. Just slide it in where the square tube the trailer ball is connected to slides in, put the cross pin in place and you are ready to haul.
