I purchased my NF Thunder jacket last winter. I'm 5' 8" size 10 and ordered the large (it fits beautifully--the medium was too tight in armholes and slightly across chest). The measurement of the center back from base of neck (started at collar seam) to the bottom of jacket is 25-1/2 inches. I do not have access to the sz Medium I bought this year for a gift, so I can't offer a measurement there. I will say the North Face Thunder is a fabulous jacket! I wear it everyday. It's extremely lightweight, yet cozy warm, and it's classy. I frequently get compliments on it (I have the gray one from last season). I purchased the black one for a gift this year and was very pleased with it--as was the young lady who received it. My daughter-in-law and son each wanted the Patagonia version, which I purchased for them, however, the North Face is much nicer. It has more stylish quilting pattern and the fabric is nicer! Don't hesitate to purchase the North Face Thunder!
