How is the sizing of this coat compared to other North Face items?...

How is the sizing of this coat compared to other North Face items? I'm 5'5", and about 36-29-37, and usually wear a 6 in dresses. I like my outwear fitted, and find that North Face runs big: I have a size small in the Khumbu fleece that feels slightly baggy, and a small in the Mossbud fleece that feels about right. Would anyone have any idea what size might fit best in this? I was thinking Small or XS, as according to reviews below it runs big, and I'm planning to be wearing only a thin layer underneath it. Thanks for the advice!

Rebecca, a small should be good for you. I'm 37-27-38 and 5'7" with broadish shoulders and the small fits nicely over regular indoor-thickness sweaters, but still gives a slimming fit with plenty of room to feel unencumbered. The waist nips in ever so slightly so you don't look like a guy. The coat itself is quite thin and doesn't look like it's as warm as it is. My husband can't understand how I stay cozy in such a thin-looking coat. It doesn't look all stuffed with feathers like lower-quality puffers do. Thumbs up for 700-fill down! It really is super warm and holds its own on long walks in sub-zero-before-you-add-the-wind-chill temps! I love it so much I'm getting a 2nd one in the vintage white.
