The shovel blade will fit inside the pack. Even though there's an external carry for the shovel handle, carry it inside the pack as well. Anything you might need to perform a rescue should always go INSIDE the pack!

Yes, absolutely it will. The handle sits in the loop on the left side, and the blade sits in the outer most pocket of the pack. The tech specs need to be amended.
