I'm trying to decide between these and the k2 Obsethed. I know because they both have plenty of width and some rocker they will both perform well with big lines and powder, but which will be better in bumps and groomers?

I ski last years Obsethed and also a Mantra, haven't skied the Shogun yet. Obsethed does everything extremely well, with a Marker Griffon onboard it even rips firm groomers and carves trenches incredibly well. The soft shovel can get overpowered if not careful at higher speeds but the ski rocks. I hammer big bumps in them all the time, soft flex allows you to nose the tip into anything but is very stable on groomed. Don't need to tell you how much fun they are in anything deep, crud, ice balls, or anything sloppy. They are hover crafts that absorb all terrain. A lot smoother more absorbing ride than my Mantra's when it gets all busted up but Mantra's are quicker and lighter. My only complaint about the Obsethed's is that they are heavy and take a toll on my knees with long slow chair ride's where I live. No foot rest's on our chairs to take the weight off. I also notice when the ski gets buried down in deep snow they are heavy to get up and around, Mantra's lighter. Shogun looks fun but when I compared the two in the store the Shogun was very traditional camber, could barely see any rocker plus also seemed heavy. I really want to try the new Gotoma's, I would put that against the Obsethed's also. Good luck and let me know what you find out.
