So I have a 5K rated Oakley Resistance Jacket. How waterproof is that compared to one of these 10K or 20K jackets? I want a jacket that will get me through a wet and overcast day no problem. Is 5K enough or do I need to step up to 10, or higher?

This will get you through a wet or stormy day while staying dry on the inside no problem. You probably want to go at least 10K on any jacket to keep you dry on stormy days.
