is the lining on the mountain guide jacket a zip out lining? what is the major difference between the mountain guide jacket and the mountain guide light jacket?

No, the mesh liner does not zip out. You can zip in other, lighter jackets from North face in to this jacket. I'm not sure the difference between the mountain light and Mountain guide.
