The reason this jacket doesn't have any venting, is because it is a hybrid that used windstopper fabric in the front of the jacket, and a stretch fabric everywhere else that is very breathable. This eliminates the need for any zip vents-

No side vents! Breathes well when it gets colder. It is water resistent!
