If you buy the small, be careful when you wash it. I am 6' 185 and I have a medium which shrunk a bit in the arms after putting it through the dryer. I've tried on large and it fits but it's a bit bulky on me in the torso.

u have the same body as me pretty much. small might be a bit tight, but definently not too loose. i wear a medium

You'd probably be fine. Backcountry is always great about returns too, so even if it doesn't fit, they'll make it right.
