Well,Angus, why would anyone put them under a shower? Who would ever try that? I got these gloves for my sister, and her hands stayed dry and warm for 1 hour while she was out in the snow, but after the second hour, she started switching them with another pair of gloves-the thermal denali gloves, and it turned out that the thermal type was much, much more water-resistant.

TNF never stated these gloves were water resistant and it should be common sense, these are basic fleece gloves with some durable material added on the fingers and palm. They keep you warm as long as it's dry out.

Not even slightly resistant, actually. Put them under a shower and your hand will be soaked in seconds. I got caught in the rain in these and they were absolutely useless.
