Need help deciding on the right tight for IT band trouble. After long runs I'm sore in my outer knee. I also have occasional hip flexor issues. Size recommendation would be so appreciated too. I'm 5'4" and 115 lbs. Thanks so much!

Hi There. The CW-X Stabilyx Tight is a great product for overall support around the knee, lower back, and HIps. However For IT band specific support, you will want check the Performx Tights which Backcountry stocks also. The CW-X Performx Tights were specifically designed for medial and lateral knee support, quad support, and IT band support that stretches from the hips down to the calf area. The IT support band on the Performx tights is wide and hits the right sports for IT issues. At 5'4 and 115 you are between XS and Small. If you have strong legs (not skinny) and you carry some of your weight in the hips and glutes, go for the Small. If you are skinny through the legs/hips/waist, then go for the XS. Good luck.

I probably wouldn't go as far and say that these are the "right" tight for IT band issues, but these would be the "best" tight from the selection of CW-X tights that we offer. These tights would help IT issues (I know first hand) but it won't completely solve your problems 100%. Specific stretches, as well as some rest time and some icing will all be beneficial. Having said that, these tights will help deter IT band issues along with the treatment above. I have a pair of them and I find them very helpful, especially for those long runs and downhill sections when your IT band can flare up the most. If you are hesitant on what size to get, I'd recommend the XS. I am in between sizes as well, but I felt sizing down was the best choice I could have made. Hope this helps!
