Graham, Funny I was just out visiting Philmont. Way cool place. This is a great solo tent with gear or a snug 2 person and will work best in three season conditions. Nice and light for those long treks on the scout ranch.

I've got the EM SL1 version of this tent. It's very easy to pitch, roomy inside for one person with a large vestibule, & extremely stable in most weather situations. Being a three season shelter, my only reservation would be to use it in harsh winter conditions where snow & constant wind might prevail.
