Is this completely windproof? How water resistant is it? Does it shed snow better than rain? How durable is this, is it prone to rip if snagged or caught. My wife's biggest pet peeve, does the velcro get caught or stick to the fabric (she's had that problem w/ other jackets). The last question will be the deal breaker for her.

jsung. The jacket is completely windproof and highly weather resistant. It is made utilizing Conduit SL fabric which is waterproof. But, due to the construction of the jacket (no tape) we call it highly weather resistant. So, with that in mind... it does shed snow better than rain. Also consider, if it is raining... it may be to warm for a down coat. The jacket is made with a combo of rip-stop nylon and more durable taslan and is no more or less prone to ripping or snagging than any other down coat out there. The velcro does not, in my experience, get caught or stick to the fabric. Hope this info helps!
