I'm a east coast skier, mostly Vermont NH and Maine, 30+ days a year, 5'10" 190. I have last year's Bridge in a 177 and am looking to pick up a pair of Gotama's, any suggestions on size? I just tore my ACL so unfortunately I'll be avoiding the parks and staying in the trees. Any help would be appreciated!

I'm an inch taller than you and I ride the 186 for the reason Rick mentioned above. To ride similar to your Bridge in 177 you need the 186 because of the reverse rocker. With that being said you should ski both first because it really depends on what you are comfortable with. Personally I think the 186 are extremely fast from one edge to another. Sure the 178 would be quicker as far as pressure on the ACL I don't think a strong skier would have much additional concern with the 186 being any more forgiving than the 178 to your new ACL.

178. they'll ride a little shorter then they actually are due to the rocker.
