Does the hoody portion and the high neck get in the way at all...

Does the hoody portion and the high neck get in the way at all when layering with a shell that also has a hood and high neck (zipped up)?...neck portion seems pretty high and full for this... Or do you just leave the top part unzipped and folded underneath the neckline? I want to layer it under an Arcteryx Stingray shell (neck fits pretty close to face).
