Just took delivery of P-90'S. Ordered 172 got 179. Still unsure if I should return. I'm 49--170.5 lbs 5'9"--cautious expert who likes to go out of bounds when available. Ski East mostly-go west once a year. What size is corrrect?

I agree, the Prophets have a shorter turning radius than many other skis, and the thinner waist makes them a little easier to get edge to edge. If you're skiing mainly resorts out east I assume that you aren't going to be doing a lot of tree skiing, in which case the extra length won't be too much of an issue and the stability at speed will help you out. Stick with it. If it is really too much ski, remember that you can always return any gear that you buy from us, even if it's used.

I think you got the right ski after all. the 179 sounds like the best length for you. remember the effective edge of the prophet is less because of the raised tail. also this will be more stable at higher speeds. mount them up and start ripping!
