Does the sole have any metal in them? I have to go through a metal detector at work so I want shoes I dont have to take off.

Good question. Recently I went through two airport security checks and both times there was a ring. I has nothing on me that was metal, except I had Keen hiking shoes both times. The guard frisked me but always came up empty handed!! I suppose that it couls have been the shoes and nobody ever thought to ask me to take them off!!
