OK..so I'm a guy looking seriously at the Gotback vs the Coomba. I'm 50 and weigh about 160#, I live in Boise, I'm an agressive skier and I love powder. I am thinking about mounting this as a backcountry AT setup. I want something that will be used to ski in tight trees, steeps and powder. I regularly ski my Outlaws (165 cm) for an all around inbounds ski and BD Crossbow (167cm) for AT and like both..just want more float. Everytime I step up to something longer, up to 180 cm, or a twin tip I end up being disappointed..so any opinions/insight to my thoughts here are appreciated.

Maybe you should clarify why you are disappointed when you ski longer skis. Is it because it gets hard to ski the trees? Perhaps you should go for a fairly stiff fat ski that isn't so long. Shorter to get the tight turns in the trees or narrow couloirs, and fat for nice flotation in the soft stuff.
