Can anyone tell me about the neck. My husband likes a neck band that is tight and that does not strech out of shape.

The neckband is elastic enough where you can easily slip your noggin through it, but not so stretchy where it would permanently stretch out of shape (unless you were abusing it, of course). I personally don't like really tight neck bands that chafe or feel restrictive in anyway and these exhibited no such problem.
