This jacket is very warm for a softshell, almost a light, trim parka. Lots of features/great bang for the buck, good construction quality, and looks good. Water-resistant, not fully waterproof, since it is a soft shell, not a full-on rain jacket. Heavier, bulkier than a standard soft shell.
