I had a pair of Line Francis Bacon's on order but found out from my local shop today that they might not be able to get them - HOWEVER, they unexpectedly are getting two more pairs of 185 JJ's and he said he would hold a pair for me if I want...
Originally I was looking for a better pow ski and wanted something with some tip-rocker (when I was looking I was told the JJ was sold-out), but I wasn't too keen on tail rocker because I will be doing some skinning with these.
Anyone out there who can say whether skinning up a set skin-track is a PITA or not?

i worried about the same thing before i got my jj's. the skis are so sick, i went for it anyway. i never had much of a problem with them skinning. if the snow is soft, you wont notice it at all. on hard snow, they are not the best, but no where near as bad as i imagined. i havent ever taken them on week long tours, most of what i do is side country/slack country laps. they work fine for an hour or so skin, no problems at all.

I do it in my ObSETheds from K2 all the time, not really a big deal. I don't feel like the tail rocker makes my traction area shorter at all, since the waist will still sink in the skin-track a bit, and that means the tail is touching snow.
