LYNN, the fur does not come off. This is truly an expedition-ready garment and the fur is not a fashion statement as with many other fur-trimmed parkas. It's designed to keep windblown snow out of your eyes when the tunnel hood is fully deployed, and to keep your breath from freezing on your face and causing frostbite in sub-zero Fahrenheit weather.
